With the Texas heat in full swing, it is probably a good idea to take your kids indoor to burn off all that energy. Listed below are areas that are indoors and kid friendly, but the most important they have Air conditioning.

Central / East

BookPeople – Storytime and a nice tunnel for kids to climb through.

The Thinkery – Austin’s children’s museum, packed with daily activities and new things to explore.

North

Main Event – Rock wall, video games, glow bowl, bowling and more.

Hop N Happy – Bounce house with a variety of different inflatables.

Urban Air Trampoline Park – Indoor trampoline park.

Top Golf –  Indoor driving range. May not work well if it’s storming but not a bad place to play when it’s drizzling outside.

Catch Air – Indoor playspace.

Little Land Play Gym – An indoor playground with developmental equipment.

Mt. Playmore – Huge play structure with a large variety of obstacles for kids to navigate. Smaller kid area available as well.

Toybrary – Toy lending library with a large variety of toys and activities for kids of all ages to stay and play.

Jumpoline – Indoor trampoline park.

Millenium Youth Entertainment Complex (MYEC) – Skating, theater, bowling and arcade.

Pinballz Arcade – Large selection of arcade games.

South

iPlay Austin – Over 15,000 square feet of inflatable playground.

Blazer Tag – Laser tag, arcade and Sky Trail ropes course.

Hoppin House – Inflatable playground.

My Gym – Indoor playground.

Round Rock

Safari Champ – Large play structure with a smaller one for babies and toddlers.

IKEA – Drop the kids off at Smaland for 60 minutes of supervised playtime while you shop. See restrictions.

Baby Earth – Great play area for babies and toddlers with many classes and events.

Pump It Up – Inflatable playground with open play times available during weekdays.

Austin Sports Arena – Skating rink.

Pflugerville

Spare Time – Bowling, laser tag, and arcade.

Austin’s Park & Pizza – Bowling and arcade games with additional rides outdoors when weather is nice.

Cedar Park

Inflatable Wonderland – Inflatable playground located inside Lakeline Mall.

Jumpstreet – Indoor trampoline park.

Head to your local library for storytime and crafts.

Bowling with bumpers for the kids is always a fun, rainy day activity.

Visit a local toy store. Kids can spend hours looking through all of the toys and many of the locations below have a play area or events to entertain the kiddos for a while.

Feel like skating? Hit up Playland Skate Center or Chaparral Ice, both located in north Austin, to burn some energy.
